M.V.  GRAMPIAN PRIDE.                            1/50 scale
This hull is of the M.V. Grampian Pride a standby Rescue ship based in the North Sea where she is on duty servicing oil platforms and rigs, This type of craft has arisen as a "lifeboat" for oil rigs and production platforms. She was constructed by Flekkefjord, Norway, in 1981 and changed hands in 1983 to North Star Fishing of Aberdeen, Scotland.
An excellent article on the construction of this model was printed in Radio Control Boats magazine, April 1987 . The highly detailed plan from Nexus,drawn by Mr S Jewitt, combined with the glass fibre hull and copies of  the article will enable the experienced modeller to construct this attractive and busy model
