H.M.S. PEGASUS 1/96 The Pelorus class were classed as protected cruisers when launched. Elegent and dainty are words to describe these attractive little ships. The Pegasus was launched in1898 at Palmers yard on the Tyne. Her claim to fame was that she joined the Cape squadron and was sunk by the Konigsbergat Zanzibar in September 1914., a unequal struggle for her as she was armed with 8 x 4" guns. There were six other ships in the class. The glass fibre hull of this most attractive light cruiser carries full plateing and port detail, plus the hull moulding includes the bulwarks to ease construction.
