P.C. SUBCHASER .           
 This class of patrol boat, called Base patrol (subchaser)  was a 110ft U.S built patrol boat based on the  design  from WW 1 but continued in service to WW 11.  SC 412 was built in 1917 on a displacement of 75 tons. The 3 x 6 cylinder engines gave a totaloutput of 220 H.P. with a top speed of 17 knots.  Weapon fit varied from ship to ship, but mainly was 1 x 3" 2 x 30 cal machine guns and 1 depth charge thrower.
