My first attempt at a Deans kit, I was impressed with the number of detail fittings and the inclusion of the rudder, propellor & shaft.
The hull was a good quality glassfibre moulding needing very little trimming.
I had a problem with the well deck width dimensions, being 10mm too wide to fit the rear cabin, but a conversation with a very helpful chap at Deans resulted in a revised replacement well deck being supplied.
I had a dread of the job cutting out the cabin window apertures, but am reasonably satisfied with the result.
I haven't sailed the model yet, but I am pleased with the look of the model. I'll post some photos in the gallery.
The only negative comments I have would be the insufficient strip material supplied to complete the model, and the inclusion of 4 bollards when 5 are required!
Overall impression... a good way to 'dip your toe' into model boat building.
