BRITISH POWER BOATS CO. 71ft 6" MOTOR TORPEDO BOAT. 1/24th scale
Length 36" Beam 10"
During 1942 the Admiralty designed a boat to be a specialist Motor Gun Boat to counteract the heavy weapons fitted to German E boats at the time. MGB 77 was one of the boats.
Three Packard petrol engines of 1300 hp gave 35-40 knots. Weapon fit comprised of one 2pd 2 x 20mm and 4 x 303 machine guns.
The boat has a very aggressive apperance, and the performance if constructed with lightweight materials is outstanding.
